THONET
N° 14 thonet chair, 1860
The great classic. Designed by Michael Thonet in 1860, the No. 14 was immediately characterized as the bistro chair. Minimalist for the use of the material and by the number of constituent pieces, only six, the No. 14 is the result of a technological research lasting almost twenty years. Simple, versatile and always present, is considered the first example of industrial design. Its structure is composed of elements from solid beech steam bent masterfully. The backrest and the rear legs are formed from a single piece of wood. Available with different variations of the session.
